Wally Wood Shock SuspenStories #11 Complete 7-Page Story "in gratitude..." Original Art (EC, 1953). Racism is the topic of his powerful, no-punches-pulled tale by Wood, from a script by Bill Gaines and Al Feldstein. The beloved "EC twist" ending was rarely used to such a powerful and effective manner as it was in this story. The pages were created twice-up scale in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". There is a bit of Zipatone missing from the hand-rendered story title. Also, there is a stripped-in art correction with a piece of Duotone board for the woman's dress on Page 1. There is a 4" rip in the right side of Page 5 that is mended with vintage tape on the reverse side. Some pages have paste-up text corrections, and there are some minor stains at the bottom of Page 7. The toned pages are in Very Good condition.
