Wally Wood Sally Forth W.A.C. First Appearance and Dom Sileo Joe's Bar and Grill Comic Strip Original Art (1968). The first ever appearance of Sally Forth! As Wood himself recalled, "It all started in 1968 when I was asked to do a complete comic section for a proposed tabloid newspaper for servicemen." This page was composted with Wood's Sally Worth W.A.C. on top, and Don Sileo's Joe's Bar and Grill. Sileo is known for his work at Harvey Comics. Wood would revive the Sally Forth character for a two-and-a-half year run in Overseas Weekly. This was only her first appearance, and already we can see what would become a staple of her on-going strip... namely that she would end up naked, usually for little-to-no reason to do with the plot. Not that the soldiers reading the strip minded, we are sure. Crafted in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.5" x 12" each. The sections have been taped together (as they were at the time of production). The boards are toned, with some production tape residue. In Very Good condition.
