W. E. Hill "They've a Sense of Humor" Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-23-52 (Daily News, 1952). William E. Hill drew a black and white Sunday page from 1922 until 1960. Although each Sunday had its own title, this observational strip was always referred to as "the Hill page." We can't help but wonder if the "professional humorist" with a looming deadline is a self-portrait. The art is in ink over graphite on thin Bristol board, with an image size of 16.5" x 22.5". In Good condition with stains, foxing, and a small bit of mold along the right side.Auction Info
