    V. T. Hamlin Alley Oop Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 5-31-48 (NEA, 1948). Alley Oop is a caveman lost in time in this fun vintage strip. In 1939, Hamlin introduced a time machine and its 20th Century inventor, Dr. Elbert Wonmug (seen in this strip). Wonmug had begun using Oop to investigate past historical events, leading to his meeting Cleopatra in this story arc. Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 20.25" x 5.75". The toned board has a vertical fold between the panels. In Very Good condition.
