Tony Weare Matt Marriott Daily Comic Strip Original Art (London Evening News, c. 1950-60s). Matt Marriott was a wonderful strip depicting the American West with gorgeous artwork that was ironically produced in the UK, by Tony Weare. His art was revered by David Lloyd so much, that Lloyd invited Weare to provide some of the work in the classic V for Vendetta series from Warrior magazine, produced by Alan Moore and Lloyd. This strip was created in ink over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 16.25" x 4.75". Toned with some whiteout text corrections, and in Very Good condition.
