Gene Colan Daredevil #68 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1970). From the "Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame" inductee Gene Colan, here comes a display of his mastery in depicting one of the Marvel's characters whose visual look he defined throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Matt Murdock is back in little ol' New York! As with Colan's finest work, the cinematic sense of framing in which Daredevil appears is immediately evident, along with the precision of the image's perspective. With inks by Syd Shores, the page is crafted in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board, with an image area of 10" x 16.5". The primary title is a paste-up, as are the indicia at the bottom of the page; traces of production tape and light toning. Signed. In Very Good condition.More information about Gene Colan.
