Description

Tom Lyle and Scott Hanna Spider-Man #58 Kaine and Mary Jane Story Page 5 Original Art (Marvel, 1995). Kaine's obsession reaches a boiling point as he holds Mary Jane hostage in a desolate cavern, seething with jealousy over Peter Parker and declaring his twisted desire to claim MJ for himself. Every panel on this tense, character-driven page features Mary Jane, Kaine, or both -- capturing the raw psychological edge of the "Clone Saga's" darker turns. Rendered in ink over graphite on Marvel Comics Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15.75", including the black borders. Stat paste-ups used for text, with soiling and smudging in the margins, production tape in the top margin, and light handling wear. Signed and dated by Tom Lyle in the lower margin. In Excellent condition.
