Todd McFarlane Spider-Man #1 Story Page 6 Original Art (Marvel, 1990). Only the second story page from the record-breaking first issue of Spider-Man that Heritage has ever offered! And since Spidey appears in costume on only a handful pages in this debut issue, that makes this opportunity even more amazing and spectacular. McFarlane took Spidey to new heights with the new solo title that was the first comic book to sell over three million copies! A street punk is about to learn the error of his ways as the friendly neighborhood web-slinger stays true to his name, webbing-up the mugger and saving the traumatized victim. A great page showcasing McFarlane's dynamic storytelling; a five-panel beauty that utilizes the talented artist's hyper-detailed rendering and unorthodox shot selection, giving the action a unique perspective which fans had never seen before -- and couldn't get enough of! Ink over blue pencil and graphite on oversized Marvel Bristol board with a near twice-up scale image area of 11.75" x 17.75". Slight toning, pinholes in the margins, editorial notes and whiteout corrections, with light creasing and edge/handling wear. Signed by McFarlane in the bottom left image area.
