Description
Simon and Kirby Studio Boy Commandos Unpublished Story Page Original Art (DC, c. 1946). This story pits the Boys against the villain Case 13, whom they first met in Issue #16. The page is penciled and mostly inked, and even partially lettered. Created twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". At some point in the 1960-70s, someone was using the reverse side of this board for lettering practice. You can tell by the text passages that mention the Hulk and even James Brown! There is minor water damage in the lower right half of the page, including staining and surface wear. The page also presents with toning, smudging/soiling, creasing, and handling wear.
