The series follows a young boy with Type 1 diabetes named Joe, who hallucinates himself into a wild fantasy world following a hypoglycemic episode. This stunning spread captures the madness and scale of his imagined reality, with superheroes like Batman, Robin, Green Arrow, and Superman joining forces with larger-than-life toys (including a robot dinosaur) to battle a horde of zombies and skeletons!From the penultimate issue of the eight-issue miniseries, this scene is rendered by acclaimed artist Sean Gordon Murphy in ink, marker, and wash over graphite and red pencil on two Bristol boards joined with tape on the reverse for a total image area of 16.75" x 13". Whiteout touch-ups and light handling wear. Signed in the lower margin. In Excellent condition.
