Sam Kieth Marvel Comics Presents #118 Wolverine Story Page 6 Original Art (Marvel, 1988). What a dreamy page, in every sense of the word! Beasts, blood, and a buxom beauty collide with one bad boy's subconscious in this wild vision fully rendered by Sam Kieth as he clawed his way into fan-favorite stardom. Trapped on an astral plane where Venom lurks and Nightmare toys with his mind, Wolverine battles both demons and doubts with Professor X guiding him from afar. Kieth's kinetic, off-kilter energy peaks as Logan's slash through a charging leopard becomes a visual crescendo, literally forming the upper panel border, a signature flourish from "Claws and Webs Part II: Dreams Are Made of This?" Capturing the raw, surreal brilliance of his Marvel Comics Presents era, before Kieth leapt to Image and The Maxx, this page was created in ink, marker, and white paint over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15".
