American G.I.s push through the war-torn streets of Saint-Lô, their Sherman tanks rumbling forward under a hail of sniper fire on this gripping page capturing the grit and courage of the soldiers who fought to reclaim the French city in one of World War II's fiercest battles. Twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.25" x 17.75". Toning, with heavier toning on the reverse, two horizontal creases across the page, smudging/soiling, pulled-tape abrasions on top edge, marginal spot staining, edge/corner creasing, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
