Description

Rafael Albuquerque Batgirl #1 Story Page 17 Original Art (DC, 2016). Batgirl's fangirling over Fruit Bat (Chiyo Yamashiro) and her impressive skills quickly gives way to concern when it becomes clear the elderly hero is injured. This emotionally charged page is the work of acclaimed modern artist Rafael Albuquerque, known for his work on Blue Beetle, All-Star Batman, and as the co-creator of the long-running indie hit American Vampire. Albuquerque was even nominated for an Eisner Award for his work on this very Batgirl arc, "Beyond Burnside." Rendered in ink over printed blue lines and graphite on DC/Vertigo Bristol board with an image area of 11" x 16". Light smudging and handling wear. Signed and dated in the lower margin. In Excellent condition.
