Description

R. M. Guéra Scalped #10 Story Page 21 Original Art (DC/Vertigo, 2007). R.M. Guéra's gritty, expressive linework brings heartbreaking weight to this page from Scalped #10, the acclaimed 60-issue crime saga he co-created with Jason Aaron. Here, Dino Poor Bear makes the wrong choice for the right reasons -- turning down a chance to leave the Rez so he can stay with his struggling family. It's a quiet, powerful moment from a crime series in the vein of Breaking Bad and The Sopranos, where loyalty and sacrifice cut deeper than any bullet. Ink and white paint over graphite and blue pencil on DC Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15.75". Last panel is an art paste-up, smudging, whiteout corrections, and light handling wear. Signed by Guéra in the top margin. In Excellent condition.
