Description
Mike Ploog and Frank Chiaramonte Planet of the Apes #3 Story Page 25 Original Art (Marvel, 1974). The gorilla from Brutus' ranks, befriended by Alex and eyed with suspicion by Jason, finally shows its true colors, turning on them moments after their escape. It's a savage twist on the final page of "Chapter Two: The Abomination Arena!" from the overarching story "Spawn of the Mutant-Pits". Ink and wash over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11.5" x 16.5". Slight toning, staining, smudging, whiteout corrections, tape over "Fin" paste-up", marginal production notes, and minor handling wear.
