Description

Larry Lieber and Matt Fox Journey into Mystery #93 Story Page 3 Original Art (Marvel, 1963). A rare page featuring the unmistakable art of Matt Fox! Known for his pulp magazine covers of the 1940s and 50s, Fox gained a cult following by utilizing his talents as an etcher to create extremely detailed art, with amazing textures like the intricate ink work seen here. The reclusive artist only worked on a limited number of comics, making this offering an exceptional find indeed. From the science fiction story "The Man Who Wouldn't Die!", this page is rendered at twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". Slight toning, whiteout corrections, with light spot staining and handling wear; otherwise, in Excellent condition.
