This stunning page from the first appearance of Proteus features full in-costume shots of Storm, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, and Banshee. Art from the beloved X-Men team of Byrne/Austin during their rejuvenation of the mutant title under the guidance of scribe Chris Claremont. Ink and screentone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight toning, darker in the image area from a previous framing, a trimmed top right corner, marginal notes, whiteout corrections and touch-ups, with creasing, and light handling wear. In Very Good condition.
