Description

John Byrne and Terry Austin The X-Men #119 Story Page 6 Original Art (Marvel, 1979). Byrne brilliance turns a simple infiltration into a masterpiece of tension, teamwork, and cinematic pacing! Cyclops leads Colossus, Wolverine, and Sunfire in a daring underwater tunnel assault on Moses Magnum's island fortress. Byrne's dynamic composition heightens the claustrophobic intensity of their mission as Nightcrawler, hidden in shadow, activates a homing beacon before discovery. A stunning showcase of Byrne's cinematic storytelling and Claremont's escalating tension that defines the creative peak of the late-70s The X-Men revolution. Created in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed by Byrne in the lower margin. The board is toned, with blue pencil editorial marks, whiteout touch-ups, trimmed top corners, production tape in the margins, and handling wear. The page is marked as Page 10, but it is Story Page 6. In Very Good condition.
