John Byrne Alpha Flight #17 Story Page 2 Original Art (Marvel, 1984). Heather Hudson recalls the first time her husband, James MacDonald Hudson, donned the Canadian flag-themed superhero costume as Weapon Alpha. While discussing his leading Alpha Flight, James is called away to deal with Weapon X, or as he is more commonly known, Wolverine! This flashback page from the time leading up to the events of The X-Men #109 (1978) was rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight toning, trimmed corners and top edge, tape abrasions on the top/bottom edges, editorial marks and whiteout corrections, with light handling wear. Signed by Byrne in Panel 4.
