Description
John Buscema and Tom Palmer The Avengers #282 Story Page 5 Original Art (Marvel, 1987). After being captured and dragged to Hades by Neptune, Namor awakens disoriented and upside down. Familiar with the tropes of such encounters, he manages to extract some answers while clashing with the mighty guardian of Hades, Cerberus. Look closely, and you'll notice his name was misspelled twice on this page, though ultimately corrected in the published version. Created in ink and screentone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Production-trimmed top edge, Panel 2 is stripped-in and held by tape on back, tape over page number paste-up, light toning, whiteout touch-ups, pulled-tape abrasions on top/bottom edges, and minor corner/handling wear. In Excellent condition. From The Tom Palmer Collection.
