Description

John Buscema and Tom Palmer The Avengers #256 Story Page 18 Original Art (Marvel, 1985). Captain America vows to avenge the death of a sailor who fell victim to a villain's deadly attack in the South Atlantic. The Avengers take off in the Quinjet, tracing the villain's trail of destruction as their investigation uncovers the sailor's mention of Operation: Big Stick and its link to the menacing Terminus. This tense and gripping page, also featuring Black Knight, the Wasp, Starfox, and Hercules, comes from the story "This Power Unleashed" and was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Production-trimmed top edge/corners, minor pulled-tape abrasion on top edge, tape over page number paste-up, whiteout touch-ups/corrections, slight toning, and light smudging. In Excellent condition.
