Description

John Buscema and Sal Buscema The Silver Surfer #7 Story Page 7 Original Art (Marvel, 1969). Buscema was on record as saying the best inker for his pencils was his brother Sal, and you can see how well they harmonized here. The Silver Surfer glides over the Alpine peaks, witnessing a raging mob besieging the castle of Ludwig von Frankenstein, modern heir to Victor's dark legacy, as fear and fire threaten to repeat the sins of the past on this page from "The Heir of Frankenstein". Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15", matted to 14.25" x 20". Pinhole in the top margin, trimmed bottom right corner, stripped-in text correction in Panel 2 held by tape on the front/back, marginal notes, blue pencil editorial marks and whiteout corrections, with staining and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
