Description

Joe Staton and Bob Layton DC Special #29 Justice Society of America Splash Page 34 Original Art (DC, 1977). With Hitler defeated and the name of their new team chosen, Batman, the Atom, Sandman, Hawkman, Superman, Green Lantern, the Flash, Hourman, the Spectre, and Doctor Fate gather in triumph. This closing splash to "The Untold Origin of the Justice Society" marks their official formation, celebrating the dawn of comics' first legendary super-team. Rendered in ink and screentone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed by Staton, Layton, and writer Paul Levitz in the lower margin. The board is toned, with stat logo reproduction, whiteout, and blue pencil editorial mark. In Excellent condition.
