This page from Scott Snyder and Jock's celebrated miniseries tie-in to the Dark Nights: Metal event captures the moment Batman loses his battle of wills against the Joker toxin coursing through his veins. With Wayne Tower on the brink of destruction, he finally succumbs to the madness -- just as the Batman Who Laughs intended. In the published, fully colored version of this page, Batman's eyes glow bloodshot red in the final panel, signaling the completion of his transformation. Rendered by superstar modern artist Jock in ink and marker over graphite on DC/Vertigo Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 16.5". Light smudging and whiteout touch-ups.
