Description

Jacques Boivin Melody #1 Story Page 4 Original Art (Kitchen Sink Press, 1988). Sylvie Rancourt created Melody as a semi-autobiographical look at the life of a nude dancer. She first wrote and drew the series in 1985, then in 1988 relinquished the art duties to Jacques Boivin when the series restarted at Kitchen Sink Press. This page from the first issue story "Rural Roots" is part of the 'origin story' for Melody. Created by Boivin in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15.5". Lightly toned and in Excellent condition.
From the Denis Kitchen Collection.
