Jack Kirby and Mike Royer 2001: A Space Odyssey #7 "The New Seed!" Complete 17-Page Story Original Art and Memorabilia Group of 25 (Marvel, 1977). Kirby unleashes the full force of his cosmic imagination across 17 unforgettable pages! This complete story follows the death of Gordon Pruett and the rise of the New Seed, who travels the galaxy, witnessing the fall of one world and helping spark life on another. Kirby wrote and penciled this adaptation, expanding Stanley Kubrick's film and Arthur C. Clarke's novel concepts into a cosmic journey of transformation, renewal, and the birth of new worlds. Includes memorabilia such as art photocopies, letters from Roz Kirby, holiday cards signed by Jack and Roz Kirby, and a copy of the printed comic. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15" (including the stat indicia and header). Signed by Kirby in the image area of Page 1 and the lower margin of the rest of the pages. Light toning, blue pencil editorial marks, whiteout text corrections on most pages, stripped-in text correction on Page 10, "Continued ..." stat paste-up in the lower margin, some trimmed corners, and discolored production tape on the top and bottom margins.
