Description

Jack Kirby and Joe Simon Western Tales #31 Story Page 4 Original Art (Harvey Comics, 1955). A crossover between Simon & Kirby's Boys Ranch and their collaborative Western Tales features the heroic youths of Boys Ranch in conflict with a treacherous outlaw. Kirby's dynamic pencils are beautifully team-inked by both artists, most likely with Kirby handling the pen-lines and Simon wielding the brushes, to judge from the stylistic touches. The story appears to be an original Kirby script, with assertive tough-guy dialogue very much in his narrative style. Ink over graphite on illustration board. Image area, 13" x 18". Very Good condition, with age-toning, retouched areas, and random spot-staining.
