Description

Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers The Incredible Hulk #4 Story Page 9 Original Art (Marvel, 1962). This is one of the finest Kirby pages we've ever offered from the original six-issue Hulk run -- and it's a monster! The not-so-jolly Green Goliath makes only his fourth appearance ever, and he's in every single panel. Rick Jones' telepathic command trick, revealed in the prior issue, is back in play as he summons the Hulk to his rescue. The duo retreats to Bruce Banner's hidden lab, where a risky experiment will not only revert Hulk back to Banner, but sets the stage for a Marvel milestone: the first appearance of "Smart Hulk" in canon. Twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5", matted to 16.5" x 23". Light toning, smudging, whiteout corrections, toned text correction paste-up, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
