Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers Classics Illustrated #35 HRN 161 The Last Days of Pompeii Story Page 23 Original Art (Gilberton, 1961). A page from the story detailing the final days of the prosperous city of Pompeii before it's destruction, by the legendary art team of Kirby and Ayers. Created at twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 18.5". Stat title logo paste-up added after the fact in the upper margin, and notes from a previous owner in the top margin and on the reverse side. Missing text paste-ups, paper fragment in Panel 2, whiteout corrections, staining, toning, and handling wear. Signed by Dick Ayers in the lower margin and in Very Good condition.More Information: EDIT: Updated description.
