Jack Davis Humbug #1 Story Page 2 Original Art (Humbug Publications, 1957). In the spirit of MAD magazine, Harvey Kurtzman's Humbug gave a poke in the eye to the 1956 movie Baby Doll with this parody titled "Doll-Baby". The page features caricatures of stars Eli Wallach and Carroll Baker and created in ink and blue wash over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 8.5" x 12.5". The board has been affixed to a larger illustration board for production purposes. All text was created in stat paste-ups, some of which are missing. In Good condition. Included are four 8" x 10" black & white glossy publicity stills from Warner Bros. used for reference by the artist that feature the three principal stars of the movie, Carroll Baker, Karl Malden, and Eli Wallach.
