Description

Gus Schrotter (attributed) and S.M. Iger Studio Rangers Comics #56 Firehair Story Page 2 Original Art (Fiction House, 1950). Trouble brews on the frontier as Bear Claw and his band of Dakota warriors launch a surprise attack on a crew raising a stockade in the valley, defying the direct orders of Chief Tehama. This Firehair feature gallops straight out of the Golden Age, when western tales ruled the airwaves and pop culture rode high in the saddle. Twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.25" x 18". Toning, minor moisture staining along left edge, edge tears, whiteout corrections, smudging, blue pencil editorial notes/marks, marginal pinholes, corner creasing, chipped corner, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
