Description

Graham Nolan and Eduardo Barreto Batman: Vengeance of Bane Special #1 Story Page 45 Original Art (DC, 1993). A page from the first appearance of Bane! A powerful and brilliant villain, Bane quickly rose to the top of Batman's deadliest enemies after breaking Batman's back and nearly killing him during the Knightfall storyline. Bane would further cement himself in the Bat's Rogues' Gallery after appearing in the acclaimed 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises as the main villain, portrayed by Tom Hardy. And the page we are offering has all the Bane fans can handle - appearing in each of the panels while closely following the Dark Knight. Graham Nolan, Batman artist on Detective Comics, brought the menacing character to life - even creating the iconic shadowed image of Bane in Panel 2 that was used in ads to promote the comic months before its release, making it the true first appearance of the character. Definitely the one page from the comic Bane fans would love to get their hands on! Ink and Zipatone over graphite on DC Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed by Nolan in silver pen in the lower left margin and in Excellent condition. A ungraded copy of the comic is included.
