Gonzalo Mayo - Vampirella Story Page Original Art (c. 1970s). Vampirella slips inside after a pack of goons and makes quick, brutal work of them, but the real danger waiting in the dark is something far less human. This page delivers stunning shots of the Queen of Drakulon by Mayo, one of her signature artists of the classic Warren era. Although "Vampirella #86" is noted in the bottom margin, the page did not appear in that issue, and it remains unknown whether it was ultimately published elsewhere. Ink, wash, and marker over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11.25" x 16". Light toning, staining, smudging/soiling, whiteout corrections, and handling wear.
