The Hulk and Iron Man slug it out in a super-powered showdown from "What If... the Avengers Had Never Been?" In our reality, the Hulk's departure in Avengers #2 (1963) strengthened Earth's Mightiest Heroes. But on this alternate world, it tears them apart. The Watcher narrates the fallout as Jim Shooter and Gil Kane imagine what happens when the team that should've assembled... doesn't. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Light toning, production oil staining, whiteout corrections, tape residue staining, page number paste-up, light smudging, blue pencil editorial notes/marks, clipped corner, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
