Description

George Papp World's Finest Comics #74 Green Arrow Story Page 4 Original Art (DC, 1955). Green Arrow and Speedy try to solve the mystery of "Green Arrow's Kid Brother" in this back-up tale. This was a 2/3rds page, as the bottom 1/3rd was for a house ad. Ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 12". There are some original minor sketches on the reverse side of the art board. There is a missing paste-up over the boy's face in Panel 4, leaving glue residue, and multiple chips in the left side, with a lower rounded corner on that side. After-the-fact this page has been altered in several ways. The main figure in Panel 2 has been cut out, and later replaced by a very amateurish 2.5" x 3.25" patch attempt taped in from the reverse side. The top paste-up banner is an addition to the original art board affixed from the reverse side. Someone has extended the original sketches on the reverse onto the added top banner. In Fair condition.
