Description

Frank Miller and Klaus Janson Daredevil #166 Story Page 15 Original Art (Marvel, 1980). Frank Miller shows his knack for creating cinematic action as Daredevil knocks Gladiator's helmet off with a solid kick before delivering a series of devastating and bloody blows to the villain's head. Judging from the taunts and rotating blades in the final panels, we don't think Gladiator is down for the count just yet. Rendered in ink over graphite on a toned Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15.25", the art in the top panel was scaled down ahead of production on a corrective paste-up that is missing here, leaving behind extensive residue stains. The back of the board has tape from being reinforced before publication. The text in the first panel is paste-up, and there are whiteout corrections, a taped page number paste-up, and minor restoration/cleaning in the top left corner. Otherwise, in Very Good condition.
