Don Rosa Anders And & Co. [Donald Duck & Company] #52/1998 and #53/1998 Story Page 1 Uncle Scrooge Original Art (Egmont, 1998). Caught by a wave of nostalgia, Scrooge fiddles with a lock of hair while his three nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, look through a scrapbook that records their uncle's exploits. They soon learn that Scrooge was onboard the legendary ship known as the Cutty Sark! And guess what eagle-eyed collectors, there is also a hidden "D.U.C.K." dedication pattern on this half-splash page, located on the rivets on the side of the old trunk lid. "The Cowboy Captain of The Cutty Sark" is the second of the "in-between adventures" in the series The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck and was originally published in 1998 in Denmark by Egmont, then later reprinted in the US in Uncle Scrooge #318 (Gladstone, 1999). Created in ink over graphite on two sheets of Bristol board with a combined image area of approximately 12.25" x 17.5". Staple holes, whiteout correction/clean-up, editorial notes along margins, tape residue staining. Signed by Rosa in the lower right margin. In Excellent condition.
