Description
Dave Sheridan Dealer McDope Partial Story and Illustration Original Art Group of 5 (c. 1970s). Sheridan's signature Underground Comix character, Dealer McDope, appears as a narrator in this set of loosely connected psychedelic-experience pages, of undocumented publishing pedigree. An accompanying horizontal illustration surrounds a pot-smoking character with hallucinatory animal-figures; an inscription exhorts a friend to "stay as high as you are!" Ink over graphite and varied additional media on Bristol board. Image area, 9.5" x 14" to 16" x 6". Extensive peeling in one selection's Zipatone shading film.
