Dave Cockrum and Sam Grainger The X-Men #95 Story Page 16 Original Art (Marvel, 1975). This is the page that leads to the death of Thunderbird, from only the second regular issue of the new X-Men. Featuring Wolverine, Cyclops, Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler, Banshee, and Professor X, who warn John Proudstar to get off the jet that contains an escaping Count Nefaria. The stubborn warrior ignores calls by the Professor and his teammates and dies when the aircraft explodes -- a shocking end to one of the X-Men's new recruits. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight toning, tape residue staining on the top and bottom edges, marginal notes, whiteout corrections, taped paste-ups in the bottom margin, with light staining and handling wear.
