Description

Charles Vess Taboo #4 "Morrigan Tales" Story Page 16 Original Art (Spiderbaby Grafix, 1990). Spirits swirl around the young girl-child from the forest, demanding her name when she knows nothing of the concept, culminating in a haunting, myth-laden moment from a dark fairy tale rendered in stunning detail by Charles Vess. Crafted in ink and white paint over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Lightly toned, with whiteout and light handling wear. Additional text appears on a vellum overlay that was previously taped to the top of the page but is now separate. Signed and dated "'10" in the lower left. In Excellent condition.
