Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson Mystery in Space #90 Story Pages 20-21 Original Art Group of 2 (DC Comics, 1964). Planet-hopping Earthman Adam Strange and alien cop Hawkman, cordially acquainted since a Justice League-Mystery in Space crossover in 1962, reunite to striking effect in this sequence from "Planets in Peril!" -- one of DC's greatest stories ever. The partners must prevent a cosmic dictator from causing Earth to collide with Strange's adopted planet. The ideal heroic teaming matches the seamless combination of Infantino and Anderson as a pinnacle in DC's artistic history. On the following page, Strange and his similarly brave sweetheart, Alanna, brace themselves to defeat an explosive trap. Ink over graphite on lightly toned Bristol board. The image areas measure 13" x 18.5" and 13" x 12". Excellent condition, barring a glitch in the lettering on Page 20.
    From the Jim Steranko Collection.
