Description
Bob Brown and Mike Esposito The Avengers #116 Story Page 4 Original Art (Marvel, 1973). This page from "Betrayal", Part 3 of the grand Avengers/Defenders crossover event, features Doctor Strange casting the Avengers team out from the entrance of the Sanctum Sanctorum after Mantis and Thor aren't exactly cordial to his loyal assistant Wong. Meanwhile, Dormammu revels in the chaos, all while Loki desperately pleads for the return of his eyesight. Also featuring Captain America, Iron Man, Vision, Scarlet Witch, and Swordsman, this artwork was produced in ink and white paint over blue pencil and graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The bottom third of the page (Panels 4 and 5) is Bristol board with original art affixed to the board with glue. Creasing, whiteout touch-ups/corrections, screentone, blue pencil editorial marks, production-trimmed edges, tape over "Look Out... " and page number paste-ups, slightly discolored tape on edges, story notes written in bottom margin, slight toning, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.More information about Bob Brown.
