Alfredo Alcala and Jim Janes Eerie The Rook Story Pages Original Art Group of 5 (Warren, 1979). This lot rounds up five original pages from Bill DuBay's Old West-meets-sci-fi saga The Rook: Story Page 10 from Issue #104 and Story Pages 10, 11, 14, and 15 from Issue #105. Starships, strange worlds, and crackling action abound as Bishop Dane, Manners, and Restin Dane charge through the intricately rendered adventures "The Trouble with Tin Men!" and "Robot Fighters". Twice-up scale in ink and white paint highlights over graphite on Bristol boards with image areas of 13" x 18.75". Significant water damage present across the bottom half of all pages, resulting in visible staining, paper loss, and areas of mold. The lower portions of the pages are slightly separated from the backing layer. The pages also exhibit toning, missing pieces from the lower right corner, smudging, production tape, edge tears, missing text paste-ups, adhesive residue staining, discolored text paste-ups, whiteout corrections, creasing, abrasions, edge tears, and handling wear. Overall, in Fair condition.
