Alex Ross Marvels #2 Story Page 26 Original Art (Marvel, 1994). This is the first page from Marvels #2 offered by Heritage, and it shows a dark example of people's fear of mutants. Phil Sheldon encounters an angry mob of his neighbors going after mutants on this page from the award-winning series, by the creative team of Ross and writer Kurt Busiek, showing the rise of the Age of Superheroes from the point of view of a news photographer. Gouache over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11.75" x 17.75". Slight toning, glossy back, notes in the top margin, paint bleed into the margins, with light staining in the margins and rippling/handling wear. Signed by Ross in the bottom left image area. In Very Good condition.
