Alan Davis, Paul Neary, and Mark Farmer Excalibur Special Edition #1 Page 9 Original Art (Marvel, 1987). From the first appearance of Excalibur, a mutant team based in the UK with some familiar faces, including Kitty Pryde, seen here with her pet dragon, Lockheed, mourning the loss of Professor X and her former team, the X-Men. This one-shot was a hit, leading to a regular series that came about half a year later, with the star-studded creative team of writer Chris Claremont, artist/co-writer Alan Davis, and inker Paul Neary (later Mark Farmer, who assisted on this issue). Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11" x 16.75". Slight toning, with corner creasing and marginal smudging/handling wear; otherwise, in Excellent condition.
