Description
Al Milgrom, Jim Starlin, and Terry Austin Captain Marvel #49 Story Page 16 Original Art (Marvel, 1977). Captain Mar-Vell beats Ronan the Accuser seeming to death on this page. In fact, Ronan gets his mind erased by the virus he's carrying. The letters page in issue #50 identified Al Milgrom's helpers on this issue as the "West Coast Wombats". (Didn't they fight the West Coast Avengers?) Jim Starlin is reported to have helped with this particular page created in ink and Zipatone over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board sections. They have been affixed to a larger sheet with a combined image area of 10" x 15". The bottom tier text is paste-up, and Panel 5 has been stripped-in and taped from the reverse side.
