DescriptionSteve Stiles Death Rattle #7 Story Page 8 Original Art (Kitchen Sink Press, 1986). Death Rattle delivered the horrific goods as a cross between the Underground Comix movement and the pre-Comics Code influence of EC Comics and Tales from the Crypt. This finely crafted page finds a hapless citizen seeking to escape a creepy old house where (as he explains) "a monster wants me for lunch." Stiles' art is crisp and evocative. A bonus is a lettering job by Dan Burr -- himself a great comics artist, best known for 1988's Kings in Disguise. Ink and Zipatone shading over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15". Faint toning. Excellent condition.
