Walt Simonson and Bob Wiacek X-Factor #25 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1988). Apocalypse, the Four Horsemen, Caliban, and all of X-Factor are featured in this incredible opening splash set during "The Fall of the Mutants" crossover event. The megalomaniacal villain is perched high above Manhattan in his living Ship, with Cyclops, Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), Iceman, and the Beast held captive and powerless to stop the oncoming attack from Death (Archangel/Angel), War, Famine, and Pestilence. The husband and wife duo of Louise and Walt Simsonson's creative team-up on X-Factor is beloved by fans, and with all of the x-citement on this page rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board, it's not hard to see why! The 10" x 13.5" image area is toned and has whiteout corrections and editor's marks. The top margin is irregularly clipped and there is tape on the back of the board. The indicia is paste-up, as are the two text boxes at top right whose residue stains have migrated into the image area. In Excellent condition.More information about Walt Simonson.
