Description

Todd McFarlane Spider-Man #13 Splash Page 16 Morbius Original Art (Marvel, 1991). The ragged form of Morbius resides in the sewers with a group of loyal servants that bring the blood-drinker his "meals." Todd McFarlane provides a frightening visage of the Living Vampire on this striking splash as the superstar creator was riding high on his Spidey book a few months before leaving the title, and Marvel, to help start Image Comics. Ink and white paint over blue pencil on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15.75". Staple and pinholes in the top margin, text paste-ups over whited-out balloons with a missing paste-up and tape/residue staining, ink splatter technique, notes in the left margin, with light handling wear. Signed by McFarlane in the top left image area. In Very Good condition.
