Description

Timothy Truman Scout #23 Splash Page Original Art (4Winds Studio and Eclipse Comics, 1987). A banner year for Truman, 1987 saw the near-completion of his first Scout epic, coupled with the launching of a wealth of additional collaborative series from Truman's 4Winds Studio. This pivotal page features an intense close-up of central character Emanuel Santana, in the midst of an armed siege. Three signatures grace this page -- the in-panel byline; an initialed instruction to color designer Sam Parsons; and an initialed gift-inscription to the Golden Age comics artist John Belfi, a mentor to Truman at the Joe Kubert School. Ink over graphite on Bristol board, with Zipatone shading and painted white highlights. Image area, 9.5" x 13.5". Moderate toning. Very Good condition.
